Apprenticeships Advice Clinic at The Heath Business Park
The LCR Apprenticeships Hub team set up a pop-up advice clinic last week at the café in The Heath Business Park in Runcorn. This is part of the Hub’s ongoing programme of providing free information about Apprenticeships to industry and communities.
The team were on hand to answer queries from local businesses about recruiting and training apprentices and the Apprenticeships Levy. They also provided advice to several parents who attended the clinic who have children considering taking the Apprenticeship route. Many parents aren’t aware of the possibility of progression onto higher and degree level Apprenticeships, so the team made these options clear, as well as advising on how to access Apprenticeships at 16.
As a result of last week’s session, the Hub team will be meeting with an employer who wants to recruit some local apprentices.
The Liverpool City Region Apprenticeship Hub’s Employees Support in Skills project is ESF funded. We provide free and impartial information advice and guidance about Apprenticeships & Traineeships, supporting employers, residents and training providers throughout Liverpool City Region.
